During our testing, the turbocharged Touring sedan took 7.5 seconds to reach 60 mph, which is slightly slower than the previous generation Civic. The manual Sport Touring hatchback we tested performed slightly better, reaching 60 mph in 7.3 seconds. Fortunately, the nimble handling, responsive steering, and well-balanced ride that we admired in the previous-generation model are still present in the new model. The adaptive cruise control sometimes brakes slightly late, but overall it does a commendable job of reducing the stress of driving in heavy traffic.
