Overview 2024 Lexus UX
The 2024 Lexus UX has brought a fresh perspective to the luxury SUV market, raising the bar with its combination of style, performance, and advanced technology. Let’s explore the various elements that make this vehicle a compelling choice for discerning drivers.
The 2024 UX250h is the smallest car Lexus makes, and it might surprise you to learn that this little hybrid is considered an SUV. From the looks of it, the UX is really just a slightly taller hatchback, and that helps set it apart from more upright offerings like the BMW X1 or the Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class. Under the hood is a 181-hp hybrid powertrain driving either the front or all four wheels.
In either case, the UX250h is not particularly quick, but it’s peppy enough to keep up with both city and highway traffic without causing its driver anxiety. Inside, the UX’s cabin is nicely appointed but less roomy than its rivals. Lexus isn’t targeting families with the pint-sized UX, which is better suited for single city dwellers. A pair of adults would find it plenty spacious for a long-distance jaunt, and its fuel-efficient powertrain opens more opportunities for thriftier road trips.
Design and Exterior of the 2024 Lexus UX
The exterior of the 2024 Lexus UX is a testament to the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries in design. With its sleek lines, bold grille, and striking LED headlights, the UX exudes a sense of modern elegance. The available F SPORT package further enhances the vehicle’s sporty appeal, featuring distinctive styling elements that set it apart on the road.
In terms of equipment, the UX 250h has an angular design with a spindle-shaped grille, plastic body panels and 18-inch alloy wheels, combined with a set of LED lighting systems and aluminum roof rails. .
Inside the cabin is a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch Lexus Interface infotainment system with cloud navigation that integrates wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Other highlights include a leather-wrapped, washi-trimmed steering wheel, 8-way power front seats with NuLuxe upholstery, dual-zone climate control, six-speaker sound system and Smart Access system with push-button start. .
For safety features, the 2024 Lexus UX 250h offers the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 driver assistance system. The system includes Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Traffic Sign Assist and a Pre-Collision System with pedestrian and cyclist detection. There are also Smart High Beams and Lane Departure Warning with Steering Assist. This model also has a rearview camera as well as Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Under the hood is a hybrid powertrain that includes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, two motor-generators and a small nickel-metal hydride battery. This engine gives the crossover a combined capacity of 181 horsepower, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 8.4 seconds.

Interior Comfort and Technology of the 2024 Lexus UX
Stepping inside the 2024 Lexus UX reveals a meticulously crafted interior that prioritizes both comfort and technology. The spacious cabin offers ample room for passengers, while premium materials and refined details create an ambiance of luxury. The latest infotainment system keeps occupants connected and entertained, seamlessly integrating with smartphone devices for enhanced functionality.
The 2024 Lexus UX boasts an advanced infotainment system that caters to modern connectivity needs. With seamless smartphone integration, intuitive controls, and available premium audio options, the UX ensures that drivers and passengers stay connected and entertained throughout their journeys. The user-friendly interface and high-resolution display further elevate the overall infotainment experience.
Inside, Lexus ensures that passengers understand they are in a luxury vehicle thanks to its attractive layout and high-quality materials. It also offers standard features such as dual-zone climate control and power-adjustable front seats. The experience can be enhanced with options such as heated and ventilated front seats, a head-up display, and more stylish materials. While the back seat is not spacious, it’s also not as cramped as one might expect. Unfortunately, the cargo area behind those seats is limited. We managed to fit only four carry-on suitcases back there; in comparison, we could fit an extra three carry-ons in the rear of the BMW X1.
Every UX comes with a touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, and four USB ports. The compact Lexus can also be upgraded with various options, including a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, built-in navigation, wireless charging, and an eight-speaker premium audio system.
Performance and Efficiency of the 2024 Lexus UX
Under the hood, the 2024 Lexus UX impresses with its spirited performance and remarkable efficiency. Whether navigating city streets or embarking on highway journeys, the UX delivers responsive handling and a smooth ride. The available hybrid powertrain option further underscores the model’s commitment to eco-friendly driving without compromising on power.
The Lexus UX is powered by a 181-hp four-cylinder hybrid powertrain paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and either front- or all-wheel drive. The UX250h we tested in 2019 proved to be sluggish, needing 8.6 seconds to reach 60 mph. Thankfully, it had good steering feel and a quiet refinement that proved endearing enough to help make up for its lack of quickness. An F Sport package brings a sportier tune to the suspension, 18-inch wheels on run-flat tires, and exclusive interior and exterior appointments.
As is common with hybrid vehicles, the UX is better at saving fuel around town than on the Interstate, with EPA estimated ratings of 43 mpg city and 41 mpg highway with front-wheel drive, and 41 mpg city and 38 mpg highway with all-wheel drive. That was proven when we tested an all-wheel-drive 2019 UX250h on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy test route—part of our extensive testing regimen—and it returned only 31 mpg, 7 mpg lower than its EPA estimate. For more information about the UX’s fuel economy, visit the EPA’s website.
