Overview 2024 Jeep Wrangler
If you’re the type of person who spends weekends in the great outdoors—or maybe you just want to look like it—the 2024 Jeep Wrangler is an SUV that can take you anywhere you want to go. Jeep has evolved significantly from its military origins and now offers plenty of luxurious features, especially in the higher-end trims. However, this doesn’t mean that the Wrangler will provide you with a smooth ride or massage your backside on your way to the trailhead. It still has a truck-like feel, with road manners to match.
The ride can be rough over uneven pavement, and the steering requires constant correction to keep it on a straight path. According to most accounts, the Ford Bronco and the Toyota 4Runner are more refined options with similar capabilities. However, Jeep offers a wider range of powertrain options than its rivals, including a plug-in hybrid variant and a 470-hp V-8 engine that is only available in the Rubicon 392 model.
The Wrangler receives a mild visual and tech update for 2024, including an updated grille and 10 new wheel designs. Inside, all models now come standard with a new 12.3-inch infotainment display, replacing the smaller 5.0- and 7.0-inch screens found in last year’s Wranglers. The new display also incorporates Jeep’s latest infotainment software, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The onboard navigation system now includes maps for over 2000 trails, with the option to download even more. Jeep has also enhanced the active noise-cancellation feature to further reduce cabin noise during phone calls. Additionally, the plug-in hybrid 4xe powertrain is now available on Sport and Rubicon X trims, and hybrid models come equipped with a 3.6-kilowatt auxiliary battery for powering accessories.

Exterior Design of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler
The iconic design of the Jeep Wrangler has been further refined in the 2024 model. From its signature seven-slot grille to its robust fender flares, every detail exudes strength and ruggedness. The removable doors and roof panels provide a sense of freedom, allowing drivers to truly embrace the open-air experience.
In addition to the original values and off-road capabilities, Jeep Wrangler also possesses the Body on Frame design language, electronic way bar, especially the Differential locking system on the two front and rear hard axles and the drive system. Tru-Lok smart.
The front of the Jeep Wrangler impresses with its vertical perforated grille system, black painted inner mesh pattern. On both sides are headlights with a rounded design, LED Projector bulbs with integrated automatic on/off feature, automatic steering angle adjustment. In addition, the turn signals are arranged attached to the wheel arches, while the fog lights are integrated with the front bumper.
Along the body of the car is a set of 15-inch 5-double-spoke wheels. Notably, the Jeep Wrangler’s wheel arches are quite wide, suitable for moving in many different types of terrain.
In addition, Jeep Wrangler is also equipped with fixed up/down steps to help customers easily get on and off. Some other equipment in the body of the car can be mentioned such as keyless entry, door opening with buttons, electric adjustable/folding rearview mirrors combined with blind spot warning feature.
The rear of the car continues to have square lines similar to the car’s head and body. The most noticeable thing in this area is the spare tire mounted on the rear of the car similar to the main tire. There is also a vertical rectangular LED taillight cluster, a horizontally opened tailgate,…
Interior Comfort of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler
Inside the cabin, the Wrangler offers a perfect blend of comfort and functionality. The high-quality materials and attention to detail create a premium ambiance. The available leather-trimmed seats not only provide comfort but also add a touch of luxury to the interior.
The space inside the car has a sporty style, in contrast to the military design on the outside. Hard plastic is mainly used to create car interior amenities. The steering wheel looks quite simple with 3 leather-wrapped spokes and chrome trim at the bottom. In addition, this detail also integrates many function buttons to support the driver. Behind the steering wheel is a tube-shaped instrument cluster with an 8.4-inch Uconnect touch screen on the most advanced version. This screen has high resolution, supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto applications, GPS navigation, maps and lane annotations.
All seating positions in the car are fully mechanically adjusted. In return, the rear seats are quite spacious with 3 headrests, a center armrest with integrated cup holders. Regarding materials, the seats are covered in black leather with red stitching to create a highlight on the car.
Some other equipment on the car can be mentioned as the 552-watt Alpine sound system, noise cancellation system, rear air conditioning vents, removable sunroof, automatic anti-glare rearview mirror, automatic door glass, advanced cruise control system Adaptive Cruise Control…
Some safety features on the Jeep Wrangler such as ABS anti-lock braking system, BA emergency brake assist system, blind spot warning system, hill start assist system, body anti-slip system, Tire pressure warning, Camera, 4 airbags…
Powerful Performance of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler comes equipped with a range of powerful engine options to suit different preferences and driving needs. One notable engine is the upgraded 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which delivers an impressive 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine provides ample power for both on-road cruising and off-road adventures.
For those seeking even more power, Jeep offers an optional 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, generating 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This turbocharged engine provides a punchy acceleration and ensures a thrilling driving experience.
The Wrangler is available with five different powertrains. It starts with a 285-hp 3.6-liter V-6, which can be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic. An optional turbocharged four-cylinder engine is also available, which works with an electric motor to provide additional low-end power. However, this powertrain can only be paired with the eight-speed automatic. Additionally, the Wrangler offers a 3.6-liter V-6 with a similar hybrid assist, a 375-hp plug-in hybrid 4xe powertrain, or a 6.4-liter V-8.
All Wranglers come standard with part-time four-wheel drive, which is controlled by a lever on the center console. In our testing, a base two-door Wrangler Sport with the V-6 and six-speed manual transmission accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, while a well-equipped four-door Sahara model with the automatic transmission achieved the same in 6.8 seconds. With the four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, the four-door Sahara was slightly quicker, reaching 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. The Rubicon and High Tide models, which have heavier-duty off-roading equipment, were slower than the others in our testing.
Performance at our test track shows that the Wrangler JL has significantly improved compared to the previous model, but it still lags behind its rivals in some areas. While its handling has improved, it still feels more like a truck compared to today’s refined SUVs and pickups. The ride in the four-door model is acceptable over rough surfaces, but we found inconsistent braking distances between our two test vehicles.
Advanced Off-Roading Capabilities of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler continues to dominate the off-road scene with its advanced features and capabilities. One standout feature is the available Rock-Trac® 4×4 system, which provides exceptional control and traction on challenging terrains. This system allows drivers to seamlessly switch between 2WD and 4WD modes, adapting to various driving conditions.
Furthermore, the 2024 Wrangler is equipped with heavy-duty Dana® 44 front and rear axles, ensuring durability and reliability off the beaten path. The standard electronic locking front and rear differentials further enhance traction, allowing the vehicle to conquer steep inclines and uneven surfaces with ease.
Technology of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler
Jeep has not compromised on technology in the 2024 Wrangler. The Uconnect® infotainment system takes center stage with its user-friendly interface and seamless connectivity. The available 8.4-inch touchscreen display provides access to navigation, entertainment, and smartphone integration features.
Additionally, the 2024 Wrangler offers an optional Alpine® Premium Audio System, delivering a superior sound experience for music enthusiasts. The available Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility allow drivers to easily integrate their smartphones for hands-free calling, messaging, and accessing apps.
Although the Wrangler can be purchased without basic creature comforts like air conditioning and power windows, all models come with a comprehensive infotainment package. The interface, known as Uconnect 5, is user-friendly, responsive, and can be accessed through a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both included as standard features and can be used wirelessly. Additionally, there is onboard navigation with over 2000 mapped trails, as well as an active noise-cancellation feature that helps to minimize cabin noise when making phone calls while driving.
Safety Features of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler
Jeep has prioritized safety in the 2024 Wrangler by incorporating advanced driver-assistance technologies. The available Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking uses sensors to detect potential collisions and automatically applies the brakes if necessary. This feature adds an extra layer of protection during city driving or off-road adventures.
Other safety features include Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path Detection, and Adaptive Cruise Control. These technologies work together to enhance situational awareness and prevent accidents on the road.
Jeep only offers a few optional driver-assistance features, but it lacks the advanced technology that we typically find in vehicles priced over $40,000 or $80,000. To learn more about the crash-test results for the Wrangler, please visit the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Key safety features include: Blind-spot monitoring Rear cross-traffic alert Rear parking sensors are available.
Fuel Efficiency of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler
In an era where sustainability is a top priority, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler offers eco-friendly options without compromising performance. The available eTorque Mild Hybrid System optimizes fuel efficiency by providing additional torque when needed and regenerating energy during deceleration.
For those seeking a fully electric option, Jeep also offers the Wrangler 4xe model in select markets. This plug-in hybrid variant combines electric power with traditional gasoline engines, delivering impressive fuel economy while maintaining the Wrangler’s legendary capabilities.
In this segment of gas guzzlers, it doesn’t take much to be at the top of the class. The Wrangler’s EPA fuel economy estimates put it ahead of rivals such as the Bronco and the 4Runner. The four-door Wrangler Sahara with a V-6 engine returned a fuel economy result of 20 mpg on our 75-mph highway route, which is 3 mpg lower than its EPA rating for highway fuel economy. On the other hand, the turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid model fared much better, delivering 26 mpg, which is 2 mpg higher than expected. For more information about the Wrangler’s fuel economy, visit the EPA’s website.
Pricing and Trim Levels of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler comes in various trim levels to cater to different budgets and preferences. The base Sport model offers a solid starting point for those seeking a no-frills adventure vehicle. As you move up the trim levels, you’ll find additional features such as larger wheels, upgraded audio systems, advanced safety technologies, and luxurious interior appointments.
Pricing for the 2024 Wrangler starts at around $28,000 for the base trim level and can go up to $50,000 or more for higher-end variants with all the bells and whistles.

Rubicon 392 | $93,440 |
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is priced between $33,690 and $89,390, offering a wide range of options. The base Sport trim level is perfect for off-road enthusiasts on a budget, while the top-spec Rubicon 392 is designed for those who crave all-terrain speed. We prefer to stick to the Wrangler’s original concept while keeping the price on the lower end of the spectrum, so we would start with the two-door model, which comes with a removable cloth top as standard.
We don’t want to go for a bare-bones World War II style, so we would choose the Willys trim for its additional features, including 17-inch wheels with 33-inch all-terrain tires, a locking rear differential, LED exterior lighting, and built-in auxiliary switches. These switches allow you to mount your own accessories like a winch or a light bar. Additionally, we would select the 270-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine for its 295 pound-feet of torque, which is 35 pound-feet more than the standard V-6. The four-cylinder engine also comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard, making it an ideal choice for stress-free trail driving.
